Quick entry, great rides

Got our Theme Park Tickets online. Entry was fast. Rides were excellent, especially The Smiler. Had a really good day out. No issues with anything.

Fantastic day at the park!

We had such a brilliant time at Alton Towers! The Theme Park Tickets were easy to book online, and getting in was super smooth. My kids absolutely loved CBeebies Land, and I even got to try a few of the bigger rides. Definitely planning another trip next year, maybe even for Scarefest. Highly recommend for families!

Good value for a short break

I booked a Short Break deal for my family, staying at the Splash Landings Hotel. We got a decent discount by booking well in advance online, which made the whole trip feel much more affordable. The hotel stay plus park entry worked out to be good value, especially compared to buying everything separately. It felt like a worthwhile purchase for the price we paid.

Mixed experience, decent quality

I bought a Silver Annual Pass. The ordering process was straightforward on their website, and the digital pass arrived in my email quickly. I used it for a day trip; entry was smooth with the QR code. The park itself was clean, and the rides were well-maintained. Customer support was helpful when I had a question about parking permits before my visit. The only slight issue was the food prices inside the park, a bit steep but that's expected. Overall, a solid experience for regular visits.

Fun, but long queues

My visit using Theme Park Tickets was mostly great. The online booking process was easy, and entry was quick. The rides were fun, especially Oblivion. However, the queues for popular rides were quite long, even with the app telling us queue times. We considered a Fastrack Pass but decided against it. Customer service at the gate was friendly when we asked a question. Overall a good day, but queue management could be improved, maybe more staff or better ride throughput.

Heard about 2 for 1 vouchers for Alton Towers. Do those actually work or is it a scam?

D Daniel Ramirez 6 days ago
They totally work! I've used the Kellogg's ones loads of times. You just need to buy one full-price adult ticket at the gate price, so it's best for pairs.

Not a scam! Just read the fine print, usually you redeem them online these days, and it's often against the on-the-day price, not the cheaper advance online ticket.

Is it better to go to Alton Towers or Thorpe Park for big rollercoasters? Never been to either.

R Richard Miller 4 days ago
Depends what you like. Thorpe is more thrill-focused, compact. Alton Towers is huge, more spread out, and has a wider range of stuff beyond just mega-coasters, plus the hotels are cool.

Planning a trip with my little one, are there actually enough rides for a toddler at Alton Towers or is it mostly for older kids?

L Linda Mitchell 4 weeks ago
Loads to do for little ones! Don't worry, it's not all big scary rides. CBeebies Land is a lifesaver.

If it rains all day, do they give you anything? Like a free ticket for another day or something?

J Justin P. 2 weeks ago
Yep, they have a 'rainy day guarantee' for certain bad weather days. You usually get a free ticket to come back. Keep your original tickets though!

They do! If it rains continuously for like an hour or more, you can often get a voucher for a free return visit. Happened to us last year, was pretty sweet.

Anyone know if you can change your ticket date if something comes up? Bought them like a month ago.

J Jeff Rivera 4 days ago
I think you can, but there's usually a fee and you have to do it a certain number of days in advance. Check their booking terms on the site.

Yeah, I had to change mine once. You can do it online through your booking, but there might be a small admin charge.

Hey, thinking of going to Alton Towers next month. Does anyone know if they do any kind of discount for students?

B Brittany Parker 2 weeks ago
Yeah, I used my student ID last year, I think it was like 20% off if you book online. Worth checking their site.

B Brandon 2 weeks ago
They definitely do! Just make sure you book in advance online, usually you can't just show your ID at the gate for the discount.

What's the deal with parking at Alton Towers? Do you pay extra or is it included in the ticket?

A Anthony F. 9 hours ago
You definitely pay extra for parking, it's not included. Best to pre-book it online, it's a bit cheaper than paying on the day.

K Kyle Martinez 8 hours ago
Nah, parking is separate unfortunately. Expect to shell out a bit more for that when you arrive, or just get it online beforehand.
